The Custom Process
1. Consultation
• Schedule an appointment at our studio for a free consultation.
• During this meeting, we will discuss sizing, rough design ideas, gemstone options and budget considerations.
• We will record all your contact information and weigh and test any scrap gold you'd like to use as credit or useable material towards your project.
• Within a few days after our consultation, you will receive an estimate via email.
2. Approval
• If you approve the estimate, we will send an invoice and you can secure your project by paying a 50% deposit through the provided email link.
• Once the deposit is received, we will start working on refined designs.
3. Production
• Final design confirmation is required at this stage – please note that no changes can be made after this point.
• We will source the necessary gems and materials once the final design is confirmed.
• Throughout the production phase, we will keep you updated with photos of the progress.
4. Completion
• Upon completion of your custom piece, you will receive photos of the final product.
• The remaining balance is due before the piece is either mailed to you or picked up from our studio.
Custom Jewellery
Custom Projects at Nina Alexandra
At Nina Alexandra, we are thrilled to bring your vision to life with our bespoke jewellery design process.
Using your own gold in the project: we are delighted to offer the option of incorporating your own gold into a custom jewelry project, adding personal meaning to your project. There is a €200 processing fee for this service, which covers testing and weighing your gold, removing and categorizing any gemstones, separating different gold colours and karats, cleaning the gold, and melting and forming it into the correct format to produce your piece. Please note that we can only use solid gold without any solder joints in the final piece. Any unuseable scrap gold you provide will be credited towards your project at 65% of market value.
Important Details:
Minimum Order: €500
Materials: We offer custom orders in gold only (14k, 18k, or 22k). We prefer working in yellow gold, but we are open to creating your projects in white gold if desired.
Gold Credit: If you provide gold as part of the payment, we will credit you 65% of its scrap gold market value, applied towards the balance.
Timeline: Expect 3-5 weeks for completion. Rush orders under 2 weeks are available for an additional fee.
